Paul Tuese Ama, 42 and from Salt Lake City, has been booked on murder charges related to the shooting death of 34-year-old John Herman Tonga, a Midvale resident.

Utah gang leader captured by U.S. Marshalls task force (Salt Lake City, UT): The fugitive leader of a popular Utah gang has been arrested outside Chicago. Jim Paul Deli, a.k.a. JP Delli was taken into custody May 21 after fleeing an attempted traffic stop by Deputy US Marshals from the Great Lakes Regional Task Force.

Teen shot multiple times in possible gang-related incident in Salt Lake City (Salt Lake City, UT): Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night when two teens, both male, were arguing in a vehicle in the area of 823 N. Gang member already facing drug charges accused of raping teen (Salt Lake City, UT): A documented gang member currently facing federal drug and firearms charges was charged Monday in state court with raping a teenage girl. Daniel "D-Mac" Silva, 27, of Salt Lake City, is charged in 3rd District Court with rape and forcible sodomy, both first-degree felonies, and obstructing justice, a second-degree felony.
