Sheriff's Office reports gang-related fights at North Side High; one student arrested (Jackson, TN): About 7 a.m. today, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received information from the school resource officer at North Side High School of multiple fights on the school campus, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office. The investigation showed the fights reportedly were between two gangs, one calling themselves DIP, who are reportedly associated with the Vice Lords; the second calling themselves FBD, who are reportedly associated with the Gangster Disciples, the release said.

Four girls held in gang-related beating (Indianpolis, IN): Police arrested four girls, ages 11 to 14, in connection with a suspected gang-related beating. A bloodied 15-year-old girl told Indianapolis Metropolitan police that she had a dispute on Facebook with another girl and arranged to fight her.

Jury finds man guilty in stabbing (Oroville, CA): A jury Monday found a 20-year-old man guilty for a March 17 stabbing in downtown Chico. The Butte County Superior Court panel found Rodolfo Madrigal Martinez Jr. guilty of one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon. The jury also affirmed the allegation the crime was gang-related.
