Man dies, four hurt in apparent gang battle (Anaheim, CA): A 26-year-old Anaheim man was stabbed to death and four others were wounded in what appeared to be a gang-related melee, police said Sunday. The name of the dead man was withheld pending notification of relatives.

One killed, three wounded in weekend gang attack in Catskills (Catskills, NY): Police Monday were searching for a gang that fatally stabbed one man and wounded three others during a masked attack over the weekend in this Catskill town. Badillio Acosta, 24, was killed around 7:40 p.m. Saturday when he and his friends were jumped by four assailants outside the Woodbridge Housing Authority complex in Sullivan County, state police said.

Fresno shooting wounds man (Fresno, CA): A hospital went under lockdown Sunday afternoon when gang violence on Fresno's west side threatened to spill over to the emergency room of University Medical Center. Darryl Hilliard, 20, was shot in the head by someone in a passing green sport utility vehicle on West Strother Avenue, police and witnesses said.

Gunman fires into party; eight wounded (Long Beach, CA): A gunman opened fire into a crowded high school graduation party outside a Long Beach home early Saturday morning, wounding eight youths and adults, authorities said. The shooting about midnight occurred in the 500 block of Temple Avenue, a residential neighborhood a few blocks from the beach, said Sgt. David Cannan of the Long Beach Police Department.

Gang members arrested in thefts (Stoney Creek, NC): Guilford County sheriff's deputies arrested 13 alleged gang members this week following a rash of car thefts and vehicle break-ins throughout Forest Oaks and Pleasant Garden. Police believe the suspects belong to the TRG, short for Tiny Rascals Gang. The group targeted unlocked vehicles with keys in the ignition or valuables visible from outside, according to police.

Gang fight over woman left child shot (Fresno, CA): A gang fight over a woman reportedly dating a member of a rival gang is believed to have led to a shootout in which a 10-year-old Fresno boy was shot in the leg, police said Friday. Lt. Dennis Bridges said two men have been arrested in connection with the Thursday night incident. Three others are being sought.

Two charged in shooting of Riverdale boy (Riverdale, GA): A Clayton County man and a teenager face felony murder charges in the shooting death of a 4-year-old Riverdale boy who was killed Sunday while riding his bicycle in a park. Deontrez Soyo Williams, 21, and a 16-year-old were arrested Thursday night. Police have refused to identify the juvenile.

Gang violence at Oceanside High School (Oceanside, NY): Seven reputed members of the MS13 gang were arrested and charged with starting a fight with three students at Oceanside High School last week. According to the police, the six adults and one juvenile donned gang colors, brandished weapons and hit and kicked the OHS students before a school security guard broke up the scuffle.

Police say the death of Gonzalo Magana was gang-related, and they are searching for Luis H. Barragan, a 15-year-old suspected gang member who is wanted for questioning.
