Gangs aren't always easy to see (Panama City, FL): Gangs might not look or act the same everywhere, but they are everywhere. The number of gangs and their membership is continuing to rise in Florida, according to the annual Florida Gang Reduction Strategy report released by Florida’s Office of the Attorney General on Dec. 22.

Calgary homicide rate drops (Calgary, AB): Calgary's homicide rate took a sharp nosedive in 2010 and police are pointing to a decrease in gang violence as a factor. There were 15 homicides in 2010, compared to 26 in 2009, and 34 in 2008. It's the lowest number posted since 2003.

Two Spring Hill teens face burglary charges in gang recruiting (Spring Hill, FL): The boys had two ways to join the gang, and neither option would be a cakewalk.
