Man wounded in gang-related shooting in Koreatown (Los Angeles, CA): A man was wounded today in a gang-related shooting in Koreatown, police said. The victim, a suspected gang member, was hit by at least three bullets and suffered wounds to his shoulder and torso in the shooting, which occurred at an apartment complex in the 700 block of South Berendo Street around 1:10 a.m., said Sgt. Paul McLaughlin of the Los Angeles Police Department's Olympic Station.

Teen seriously injured in Ventura shooting (Ventura, CA): A teenage boy was seriously injured Sunday night in a suspected gang shooting, police said. The 17-year-old Ventura boy was walking in the 100 block of Mission Avenue with two friends about 6:40 p.m. when he was approached by a group of males and an altercation ensued, police said. During the altercation, someone pulled a handgun and shot the teen in the stomach, leaving him in the street, officials said.
