Police outreach helps make it safer in Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC): In January 2009, Christopher Dontez Wright was gunned down in front of his grandmother's home on Camden Street in Southeast Raleigh. It was the third homicide on the street in four years. Meanwhile, gang-related crime is down 40 percent in the Southeast District and gang-related robberies are down by 36 percent since Project 110 Percent started working in the area, according to statistics compiled by the Raleigh Police Department.

Suspected gang members among 11 arrested in Memphis park (Memphis, TN): After investigating suspicious activity at a Memphis park and finding two loaded handguns, police on Sunday arrested 11 people in the park on weapons charges. Three of the arrested told officers that they were members of the Grape Street Crips, according to a police affidavit.

Year-old injunction led to drop in gang activity (Ogden, UT): With the one-year anniversary of the enactment of the Ogden Trece Injunction, officials are releasing statistics that show a drop in gang activity.
