Trenton Bloods gang founder arrested after running from city cops (Trenton, NJ): One of the city's original Bloods gangsters was back in handcuffs Friday afternoon after he allegedly fled from detectives when they found him at a clothing store he runs in the Wilbur section, police said.

Visalia, Tulare crime rates dropped in 2011 (Visalia, CA): The crime rate is down in Tulare County's two largest cities. In Visalia it dropped two percent last year from 2010. In Tulare crime fell a 12.89 percent. Visalia police said the downward trend was related to a decrease in robberies, burglaries and stolen vehicles. The department is also reporting a 50 percent reduction in gang-related crime.

No arrests made in gang-related stabbing (Sunnyvale, CA): A 22-year-old Sunnyvale man was cut with a screwdriver on Jan. 29 on the 300 block of Acalanes Drive in what police are saying was a gang-related stabbing. No arrests have been made.

Witnesses won't ID shooter in Empire killing (Empire, CA): Within hours of a gang-related killing in Empire over the weekend, Stanislaus County sheriff's detectives said they knew what motivated the shooting and interviewed people they believe can identify the suspect.
