Nanaimo cops nab gang member with link to Kamloops (Nanaimo, BC): A Redd Alert gang member with ties to Kamloops has been arrested in a drug bust in Nanaimo. Police nabbed Kevin Eric John, 32, Friday night along with three others. Nanaimo RCMP Const. Gary O'Brien said John is a full-fledged member of the street gang, which predominately recruits from First Nations teens.

Jersey City leader of a Bloods gang faction pleads guilty to role in mistaken-identity killing of teen (Jersey City, NJ): A Jersey City man who is a reputed leader in the Bloods street gang pleaded guilty yesterday to a racketeering charge in relation to the mistaken-identity killing of a city teen in 2004.

County schools approve gang policy (Anne Arundel County, MD): When Anne Arundel County students start school this fall, their new student handbook will explicitly outlaw gang activity.
