Manteca Police see success in effort to keep gangs in check (Manteca, CA): Aggravated assault - primarily gang-related shootings - surged 57.14 percent in Manteca during June going from seven to 11 incidents. Such assaults through the of the first six months of 2012 were running 37.5 percent ahead of last year at the same time.
