PennsylvaniaLeader of Philadelphia Drug Trafficking Gang and Rap Artists “Original Block Hustlaz” Sentenced to 45 Years in Prison (Philadelphia, PA): Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Abdul West, 38, of Brookhaven, PA, was sentenced to 45 years in prison, ten years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $5,000 fines by United States District Judge Michael M. Baylson for his role as the leader of the Original Block Hustlaz, or “OBH,” a violent drug trafficking organization that doubled as a group of aspiring rap artists in Philadelphia.

Tonia Cantel, 22, pleaded guilty to three charges on April 13 in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.

TexasFBI says gang activity in El Paso, West Texas focuses on drug activity (El Paso, TX): Gang activity in El Paso and West Texas is focused mostly on drug trafficking, FBI El Paso officials said. "El Paso is very unique in our gang activity," FBI Supervisory Special Agent Paul Davis said. "It's very different than Chicago, different than New York due to us being along the border. It presents an opportunity for every gang member to basically have direct connections to drug suppliers along the border."

Houston gang member added to Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list (Houston, TX): The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added a Houston man to Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list. A cash reward of up to $7,500 is now being offered for information leading to the capture of Jaime Alanis, 37. Alanis, who is affiliated with the Tango Blast Houstone gang, has been wanted since July 2020, when he violated his parole and absconded from his last known address in Houston.

PennsylvaniaMid-Level Participant in South Pittsburgh Drug Gang Sentenced to 5 Years in Federal Prison (Pittsburgh, PA): A former resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to five years’ (60 months’) imprisonment and four years’ supervised release on his conviction for conspiracy to distribute heroin and fentanyl. Williams was charged in connection with a large-scale investigation conducted by the Greater Pittsburgh Safe Streets Task Force, Acting United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman announced today.
