Dozens of violent offenders arrested during Operation Triple Beam in Miami-Dade County, authorities say (Miami Gardens, FL): The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office on Tuesday celebrated a major bust that netted dozens of offenders, sweeping them off our streets. It all stems from a sweep initiated before Super Bowl LIV came into town, called Operation Triple Beam, a multi-agency effort that included the Miami Gardens Police Department to make the streets of Miami-Dade County safer.

Frederick Police report decline in MS-13 gang violence (Frederick, MD): Five years ago, Frederick police had their hands full with some of the highest caseloads involving MS-13 related violence. In the years since, those cases have been on the decline. “They are a very brutal, brutal gang that we are seeing more and more in Frederick County, unfortunately. It’s probably the number one gang we deal with mostly,” explained State’s Attorney for Frederick County, Charlie Smith.

MS-13 member wanted for homicide arrested during 2-state enforcement efforts (Detroit, MI): An MS-13 gang member, in the country illegally and wanted in El Salvador for homicide, was arrested last week by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) during ongoing enforcement efforts in Michigan and Ohio targeting at-large criminal aliens, illegal reentrants and other immigration violators.

Programs Removed from CrimeSolutions.gov (Dallas, TX): The National Institute of Justice has removed the Dallas Anti-Gang Initiative rating from CrimeSolutions.gov. Established in 1996, the initiative targeted five geographical areas that were home to seven of the city’s most violent gangs.

Norteno gang member sentenced to 54-years-to-life for 2015 murder (Salinas, CA): A Norteno gang member was sentenced to a 54-year-to-life sentenced for a 2015 murder in Salinas. According to the District Attorney Jeannine Pacioni, Angel Isaac Ramirez, 25, was sentenced for the murder of Dexter Barnett.
