Two CBL/BFL Members Sentenced For Racketeering Conspiracy And Selling Crack Cocaine (Buffalo, NY): Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul C. Parisi, who is handling the case, stated that the defendants were members of the CBL/BFL Gang, which stands for, among other things, “Cash Been Long” and “Brothers for Life.” The gang, which was involved in the illegal possession and distribution of narcotics, was formed around 2009 and operated primarily in the City of Buffalo at the Towne Gardens Housing Complex. The gang used violence, including murder and attempted murder, threats, and intimidation to defend their territory against rivals and anyone deemed to be a threat to the gang.

Gang member sentenced to life without parole in 2015 killing (Bakersfield, CA): A 26-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for fatally shooting another man during summer 2015. Anthony Laws, a member of the Country Boy Crips gang, was sentenced Friday for first-degree murder, attempted murder and multiple other crimes for which he was convicted in the killing of Brian Anderson.

Known gang member wanted by police after violent crime spree (Houston, TX): The Houston Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a man who went on a violent crime spree that started last year. Alan Eleizer Reyes, 24, is a gang member, police said. He's believed to be armed and dangerous and police aren't sure where he is. Reyes has eluded police since his first charge in early 2019.

Elderly man dies after shooting in Gwinnett County (Norcross, GA): A shooting that left a 70-year-old man dead Sunday night appears to be gang-related, according to Gwinnett County police. The incident happened in a subdivision on Brittney Way near Phil Niekro Parkway in Norcross. Witnesses told police the shooters flashed gang signs before they opened fire on St. John and his family.
