Former Savannah gang member first to be sentenced in Operation Vanilla Gorilla (Savannah, GA): A former member of the Ghost Face Gangsters has become the first defendant to be sentenced as part of Operation Vanilla Gorilla. Daniel Fleming, aka “Baby Boy,” 32, of Ellabell, Ga., was sentenced by United States District Judge R. Stan Baker to 96 months in prison for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, said Bobby L. Christine, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.

Three charged in fatal shooting of Raleigh teen (Raleigh, NC): Three people have been charged in connection with the death of a Raleigh teenager, police said Thursday. Jamahri Lucas, 14, was found shot in the parking lot of Milburnie Road Apartments on March 21. He died the following morning at WakeMed.
