Bellevue police make arrests, recover cache of stolen goods taken during looting (Bellevue, WA): Bellevue police announced Tuesday that they have arrested nearly two dozen people and recovered a trove of stolen merchandise worth tens of thousands of dollars taken last month from local merchants in the aftermath of civil unrest and looting triggered by the death of George Floyd. Police Chief Steve Mylett announced the arrests during an afternoon news conference. While Mylett did not immediately provide information about the suspects who were taken into custody, he said some of the suspects have gang ties.

Fourteen Defendants Charged for Roles in Violent Drug Trafficking Ring After Joint Federal, State, and Local Operation (Columbia, SC): United States Attorney Peter M. McCoy, Jr. announced today that a joint team of more than 200 federal, state, and local law enforcement officers arrested fourteen people who have all been charged in federal court for their roles in an alleged violent drug trafficking ring in the Midlands area of South Carolina.

Chicago shootings: 78 shot, 11 fatally, including 4 children, in violence weekend (Chicago, IL): Eleven people were killed, including four children, and 67 others wounded in shootings across Chicago over the weekend, police said. The shootings took place between 6 p.m. Friday and midnight Sunday. "Residents of Chicago should not have to worry about walking just blocks from home to buy candy and never returning," Superintendent David Brown said.

Deputies: Two wanted for homicide after fatal shooting of Pensacola man (Escambia County, FL): The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to locate two people wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Kuanterion Rivers. Major Hobbs with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office tells Channel 3 they are connecting the shooting to gang activity. He adds Rivers was a documented member of a local gang.
