Gangs return to Poughkeepsie? 2 years after bust, new trend emerges in schools (Poughkeepsie, NY): City of Poughkeepsie police responded a reported shooting in the area of South Cherry and Church streets, just before 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 4. They found a 28-year-old man who had been shot in the head. A second man, a 41-year-old, was already on his way to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Antoine Fordham, 33, pled guilty earlier this year to conspiracy to establish and entrench a gang, participating in a criminal gang, committing a felonious hate crime, soliciting assault in the first degree, misconduct in office and possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
