Ruling upheld to cut 15 years off drug term (Little Rock, AR): Bobby Banks, a former gang leader in Little Rock who was convicted in 2006 of running a large drug-trafficking organization, was entitled last year to have his 55-year sentence reduced by 15 years, a federal appeals court said Thursday in affirming the reduction.

Richmond County Sheriff announces end of 2-year multi-agency operation, 23 arrests related to Old Savannah Gang (Richmond County, GA): Richmond County Sheriff Richard Roundtree held a press conference Friday in reference to recent gun violence and gang activity in the area. Sheriff Roundtree announced the conclusion of a 2-year multi-agency operation to take down the OS or Old Savannah Gang with the issuing of 34 search warrants and the arrest of 23 people who were targeted as members of this gang and responsible for trafficking drugs, guns and money.

Leotray Davis and Wesley Harmon, both 23, were arrested alongside a 16-year-old male in the 400 block of Melrose Avenue, police said.

Gang member from Jacksonville sentenced to federal prison (Jacksonville, FL): A Jacksonville gang member has been sentenced to federal prison for possessing a gun as a convicted felon. Chief U.S. District Judge Terrence W. Boyle has sentenced Desean Clifton Moore, 34, of Dale Drive to 30 months in federal prison from an incident when Onslow County Sheriff detectives were serving a warrant for Moore, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Cotati Man Shot, Killed In Apparent Gang-Related Shooting: Cops (Rohnert Park, CA): A 30-year-old Cotati man was shot and killed Wednesday night in what police investigators believe may be a gang-related shooting. The man, who was identified Thursday as Alan Albors, was found face down in the westbound lane of Rohnert Park Expressway after being shot in the chest, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said.

Gang member sentenced to federal prison for possessing a firearm during struggle with detectives (Greenville, NC): A Jacksonville man was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. According to court documents, 34-year-old Dasean Clifton Moore attempted to pull a loaded .25 caliber handgun on Onslow County Sheriff’s detectives while they were serving him with warrants for drug-related crimes.

Paterson has second triple shooting in two days (Paterson, NJ): After two triple shootings in less than 48 hours, investigators are trying to determine if there is a connection between the incidents, which happened in separate sections of the city where rival drug gangs operate, law enforcement sources said.
