TN Supreme Court: It's the number of crimes, not the number of guns used, that counts (Knox County, TN): The Tennessee Supreme Court is shooting down a legally groundbreaking ruling by a lower court that armed criminals should only pay a single price for using a single gun, no matter how many crimes were committed with that weapon. The ruling comes in the case of admitted Bloods gang member Lajuan Harbison in the shooting of an innocent Vine Middle School student.

Two charged with marijuana distribution, gang crimes (Glynn County, GA): A Glynn County grand jury indicted two men last week on multiple counts for gang-related drug crimes. According to the indictment, Alonza Antonio Duncan and Victor Lamar Pinkney are charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug- related objects and violation of the state gang act for actions committed on July 19, 2016. The suspects are believed to be affiliated with the Bloods street gang.
