Training, Technical Assistance, Events, and Conferences
The National Gang Center offers training to law enforcement officers on topics regarding gang investigations and gang unit supervision, as well as seminars for law enforcement chief executives. These classes are provided on a regional basis. More specialized training and technical assistance is provided upon request.
The center also offers training and technical assistance to communities interested in implementing the OJJDP Comprehensive Gang Model, as well as training and technical assistance on prevention and intervention programs and strategies. Law Enforcement-Only Training
The Street Gang Intelligence online training course is designed to assist law enforcement officers in understanding the steps involved in the intelligence process. It reviews applicable standards, suggests possible sources of information, and highlights some of the challenges encountered in collecting gang intelligence.
