FBI says gang arrests will make it safer here (Omaha, NE): Bruce Ferrell said Omaha has seen the benefits of taking violent gang members off the streets. Gang initiation could be illegal in Neb. (Omaha, NE): A Nebraska lawmaker wants to fight gang activity by making their initiation customs illegal. On Wednesday, state Sen. Pete Pirsch of Omaha introduced a bill (LB508) in the Legislature that would make it illegal to put someone through gang-initiation procedures that might put them at risk.
