Program steers youth away from life of crime (Calgary, AB) : A Calgary police program dedicated to steering youngsters away from criminal activity and gang-related ties is being touted as a success. The Youth At Risk Development Program pairs police and social workers with children between the ages of 10 and 17 who are exhibiting criminal behavior or are developing ties in the gang world.

Newtown Township police warn township residents of roving band of thieves targeting parked cars near I-95 (Newtown Township, PA): Police in communities along the I-95 corridor are warning residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles which can attract a roving band of thieves dubbed the "The Felony Lane Gang" because the thefts are near the interstate.

Woman stabbed at least a half-dozen times just south of Hayward BART station (Hayward, CA): A woman was in stable condition after being stabbed at least a half-dozen times during an early morning attack about four blocks south of the Hayward BART station. The victim was not seriously injured and police said that the incident was gang-related.
