Carjacking spree worries Jackson motorists (Jackson, MS):
A rash of carjackings in Jackson had some motorists worried about their safety on Wednesday. Hinds County Supervisor Kenny Stokes said he believes it may be the work of gang members, and he pointed to graffiti as evidence of gang activity in the city.

A Hinds County supervisor wants to give the county's young people a curfew this summer. Supervisor Kenneth Stokes said requiring children and teenagers to be home before 10 p.m. on weeknights and midnight on weekends will cut down on crime and gang-related activity.

Murder suspect pleads guilty (Forrest County, MS):
The last of six suspects charged in a 2010 homicide has pleaded guilty. Thamos Vantroy Fairley, 36, was in Forrest County Circuit Court Tuesday morning to go on trial for aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, murder and three counts of criminal street gang activity when he decided to plead.
